This blade cuts really well when you hit the sweet spot, and since it's curved the lower part will stay sharp even when hacking at things near the ground, when the tip hits. My one complaint, which is a big one, is that the handle isn't totally round, it's kinda squared off, and so if I use it for four or five hours i will get some mean blisters from where the 'corner' rubs on the inside of my thumb.
